Member Comments: We selected 8 contractors to give us proposals on the replacement of our dead heating and A/C system. We got the names of companies from friends, relatives and Angies List. We standardized the description of the work so we could get apples-to-apples price comparisons. 7 contractors gave us written proposals. Huft was the second least expensive. The least expensive was not a BBB member and had some negative comments on Angies List. Since Huft was offering top of the line equipment, we decided to go with them. In the end, we bought an upgraded system compared with the price comparison system. Huft started the work just when they said they would and finished when they said they would. You could tell they knew what they were doing and left our home and yard spotless. They met every commitment they made and we couldn’t be happier with their work or our new system. I was concerned because Huft has only been business for 3 years, but that concern turned out to be unfounded.

The crews were polite, friendly, and helpful in answering our questions. Even with the size of the job, they kept the work site neat each night. Their attention to detail showed throughout the process. The system works as promised, and the tank less system is great, giving us room to add a hall closet.

Comment: On October 9, 2006 we contracted your company to install a Trane variable speed heating and cooling system in our home. The unit was installed on October 16th. The unit has been in operation for 2 and ½ months and already we are enjoying the benefits of lower utility costs (estimated at about 15-20%) and greater comfort throughout the house.

We also wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the professional demeanor, appearance and demonstrated skill of your installation crew. Josh, Bob and Brian were observed to be constantly checking instrumentation and consulting one another on apparently critical phases in a harmonious working relationship.

Jason Jagla made the initial visit and very professionally guided us through the explanation of the system and components as well as financing available through American General. During installation, he was with the crew at all times and occasionally explained to us the steps being taken during important phases of the install process.

Obviously we are completely satisfied with the system and your company representatives. It is truly a pleasure doing business with a local firm that we know we can count on if we ever need assistance in maintaining the system.

Comment: Earlier this year Huft Heating installed a new roof mount heating and air conditioning unit on our house. From the beginning, each and every employee we dealt with was very professional, courteous and were concerned with our comfort while the unit was being installed. Each one of the employees took great care and were respectful with our property and we felt extremely comfortable leaving them alone in any part our home without supervision. Even the county inspector was complimentary to the quality of work they had performed.
